Opening and site

Are we replacing an existing door, or creating a new opening in a wall? Common NZ single-door size (optional) Wonder Doors currently makes single doors only. These common sizes are a helpful starting point, and we can customise your door to suit its opening. Opening width, mmChoose a common size above, or enter your approximate opening width. Approximate finished wall depth Measure the finished wall from one face to the other, including the wall lining. A close estimate is fine for Auckland projects.

Inward single door Opens into the room. Outward single door Opens away from the room.

How would you like to open the door?

No handle (push and pull) A clean front with no visible handle. Push or pull the door itself to open it. A clear acrylic handle on the back makes it easy to open and close from the other side. Fixed book to pull A fixed book sits on a small hinge and becomes the discreet pull handle. A clear acrylic handle on the back makes it easy to open and close from the other side.

We do not offer locking doors at this time. Locks can affect New Zealand Building Code requirements, including safe escape.

Door material

Our three standard finishes are melamine: white, light wood-look and dark wood-look. The wood-look finishes are melamine, not natural timber veneer. Natural veneer is a separate, higher-cost upgrade.

White melamine A clean white melamine finish, not timber veneer. Light wood-look melamine Light timber-look melamine, not timber veneer. Dark wood-look melamine Dark timber-look melamine, not timber veneer.

Natural veneer (higher-cost option) Natural timber veneer, priced separately as a higher-cost upgrade. Not one of the standard melamine finishes. Something else Tell us the material or finish you have in mind.
